Physician at Private Medical Practice
A physician with over 30 years of experience, Dr. John Krehlik operates a private practice with clinics throughout Alaska, including in the cities of Anchorage and Juneau. Dr. Krehlik holds the distinction of being the only board-certified sleep physician in Southeast Alaska, and he treats a range of sleeping disorders, including restless leg syndrome, snoring, and sleep apnea. Dr. John Krehlik also performs home sleep testing, a method of diagnosing sleep disorders in the comfort of a patient’s home.
Dr. John Krehlik established his private practice dedicated to sleep disorders in 2002. From 1985 to 2008, he worked with adult patients in internal medicine. Prior to 1985, Dr. Krehlik served as a physician for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where he provided medical care to service members, veterans, and their dependents and survivors. Additionally, from 1976 to 1979, he held responsibilities as a physician for the U.S. Public Health Service, treating underserved populations in the United States.
Dr. John Krehlik received his certification in internal medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine and, from 1979 to 1982, completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Washington. He also undertook a medical internship at Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center from 1975 to 1976. He earned his Doctor of Medicine at the Pritzker School of Medicine, University of Chicago.
When not working, Dr. Krehlik enjoys a range of outdoor recreational activities, including hiking and skiing through the Alaskan wilderness.
